I love going camping with friends for the very reason that the cooking and cleaning duties are shared!!! It makes things SO much more enjoyable. I do recommend sleeping bags though, even if you have to borrow them. It keeps you warm and for the kids especially, you don't have to pack pillows (although *I* must have mine!). They are also handy dandy if you have a house full of company and limited bedding. :-) Have a great trip, Susan!
