Like a new member of the family. (well, one you can leave at home when you zip to the store....in a crate, haha) I totally understand about the relief about saying goodbye to your little girls. Like you can breathe again. This is also why I can never be gone from home for more than a week tops. I just long for normalcy, routine, the familiar. I have no idea how people go on month long vacations! That would drive me nuts. Can't wait to see how Max adjusts to his new home. We're looking at getting a dog once we settle into our new place. He sounds perfect. I just have to keep reminding myself, "You kill pets, Gayle" and then I'll remember that dogs are no good for us. I have a friend who has houseguests from Sweden for a whole month. I just can't imagine how someone does that. A weekend is about all I think I could handle. I think it would just about kill me to be on good behavior for that long.
